Robbie Cannon

Director of  Performance, Robbie Cannon has over twenty five years of experience at the top level of amateur golf. Robbie  won the 2018 Irish Close Amateur Championship at the European Club. Robbie also won the 2013 Irish Amateur Open Championship at The Royal Dublin Golf Club and the 2009 South of Ireland championship at Lahinch Golf Club. Robbie is a former Irish international golfer representing Ireland many times. 

Robbie is a current Phd candidate in the category of Human Performance and Innovation in the University of Limerick.  His research is investigating the environmental and behavioural influences of Irish tour professionals.

He is a highly qualified and experienced Strength and Conditioning coach with a Masters Degree in Strength and Conditioning from Limerick Institute of Technology and a Bachelors Degree from Setanta College. He is also a level 3 TPI Certified Golf Fitness Professional. Robbie is Head of Strength and Conditioning  for the Golf Ireland National Squads. 

With a huge interest in all sports Robbie played Gaelic football with O’Dwyers GAA club in Balbriggan from a young age and soccer with Glebe North FC and Drogheda Boys FC. He was also a keen sprinter and won a bronze in the 2013 Leinster Indoors at 200 metres for the Raheny Shamrocks Athletics Club.

Robbie specialises working with golfers of all levels including PGA Tour, Dp World Tour , Elite Amateurs and club golfers.   Developing a long term development pathway for young juniors is a key part of Robbies work. Starting with  juniors in their early teens,  some of these players have   now gone on to turn professional after highly successful amateur careers. Robbie also attended the Paris Olympics with Shane. 

With over fifteens years of experience working in the world of Sports Performance, Robbie also works with athletes  in a wide range of other sports including GAA, Hockey and Athletics.
